Wiz Solitaire 1.31 is now available.

This release improves suggestions in Chinese Solitaire: useless moves won't be proposed and the most useful ones will be shown first.

Tablatures 1.6

An update for Tablatures has just been released.

It's a maintenance release containing the following fixes:

Improved cursor movements.

If you add a time/key signature to a barline, the system is re-layouted to fit all the notes.

When editing a tempo marker, the BPM value wasn't updated if you closed the dialog while the focus was still on the tempo text box. Fixed.

Sometimes a key signature couldn't be changed. Fixed.

Updated the Apple Remote functions to support Leopard.

Other minor fixes.

TabView 1.19

TabView 1.19 has been released.

The changes since the previous version are:

Updated the Apple Remote functions to support Leopard.

Added a couple of keyboard shortcuts to control MIDI playback: the spacebar will start or stop the playback from the start, while the return key will loop the current selection.

Wiz Solitaire 1.30 has just been released.

This version adds a couple of options that were requested by users:

FreeCell: added an option to move cards by pointing and clicking (as in a Microsoft game) instead of using drag and drop.

Klondike: added an option to choose whether to display the deck as a fan or not.

Tablatures 1.5

A new release of Tablatures is available.

The most important addition in this release is a basic and experimental^* support for GuitarPro 3-5 files (*.gp3, *.gp4, *.gp5). GP tablatures can be read, but they will be converted to PowerTab when saved, keeping only the first two scores since that is PTB's limit.

^* this means that some files may not work. Feel free to report any problem you find.

Here's the list of changes since the previous version:

A new game has been added: TriPeaks.

SeaHaven: foundations could be incorrectly built down in color, instead of in suit as per rules. Fixed.

Black Hole: sometimes the ace of spades wasn't dealt correctly. Fixed.

Tablatures 1.4 is now available.

This release contains the same fixes applied to TabView 1.18, plus some options that have been requested:

Fixed a print problem that happened on Leopard when the print dialog was showing the page thumbnail.

MIDI export created unreadable files on several OS X versions due to a bug in a system function. A different way to perform the same operation has been implemented in order to work around the problem.

Added an option to choose the initial score (guitar or bass) that will be shown when loading a tab or creating a new document.

Added an option to automatically make time and key signatures visible when creating new systems.

Added an option to display bar numbers at every bar line.

TabView 1.18 has been released.

This version axes a couple of bugs:

Fixed a print problem that happened on Leopard when the print dialog was showing the page thumbnail.

^*namely MusicSequenceSaveSMFData(). I do hope they'll fix it for good one day...

Tablatures 1.3

Another maintenance release for Tablatures is ready.

Version 1.3 includes the following changes:

Chord Dictionary: A flat/sharp wasn't correctly set. Fixed.

When you add a system, the last time and key signatures are automatically pre-set for the new one, even if they're not shown.

I cannot find the Deck Editor. Where is it?

The Deck Editor is shipped together with Wiz Solitaire. When you download and mount the dmg archive, you'll find these files:

WizSolitaire-*.dmg contents

Typically, you should drag'n'drop the whole WizSolitaire folder into your Applications directory. In this way you'll also install the Space deck, which you can use as an alternative to the Standard one (other decks are available for download).

Is it possible to play Spider with more than one suit?

Yes: you can use the New Game with Options... item under the Game menu to choose how many decks you wish to play with.

You don't need to do it every time you start a new game, since it will remember the last used setting.

The same menu item can be used to set the options for other games as well (for instance, in Klondike you can use it to change the number of cards dealt when clicking on the deck or to allow partial column moves).

Tablatures 1.2 has been released.

This version contains a series of fixes and improvements:

Editing performances have been optimized.

Keyboard shortcuts to edit rests have been added (r inserts a normal rest, R a multibar one).

Fixed the way accidentals are rendered.

Sometimes notes were incorrectly beamed together. Fixed.

Properly layout the bass score when loading a tab.

When opening a document, if the guitar score is totally empty, the bass score will be automatically displayed.

Bar numbers at the beginning of the system take multibar rests into account.

Added a keyboard shortcut to remove a position (shift + space).

When changing the time/key signature of a barline, Show is automatically checked.
