TabView 2.0

TabView 2.0 is now available, exclusively in the Mac App Store.

This new release brings several new features:

  • Added support for full screen on Lion.
  • Added a new side-by-side view which automatically kicks in when the document window is enlarged enough to fit two pages in width. It’s ideal for those using HD resolutions (ie. latest iMacs or Mac Book Pro’s).
  • Improved rendering performances in some cases.
  • Updated the Apple Remote code to work with Lion too.
  • Added 64-bit support.

As previously noted, starting with version 2.0, TabView requires an Intel Mac with OS X 10.6.6 or later.

Version 1.39 will remain available for those who cannot (or wish not to) access the Mac App Store.

Quick Sprites debuts on the Mac App Store

The use of CSS sprites is a valuable techique for any web developer who wishes to optimize his web site, making it both faster for users and better ranked by search engines.

However, it usually involves more work to pack the images in a single sprite sheet and to update them when the site evolves.

If you never used this technique for this reason, now you won’t have any excuse left: Quick Sprites makes creating and maintaining sprite sheets a breeze 🙂

You can see how easy is to work with Quick Sprites in this short video:
