3Doku 1.2

3Doku 1.2 is now available for download.

This version fixes a crash that occurred on launch after winning a game, then quitting without starting a new one, if Auto Save was enabled.

A new feature has been added: if you enable the “Edit->AutoSet Values” menu item, 3Doku will automatically fill the visible cells which are left with only a possible choice whenever you edit a value. Depending on your previous moves, this might fill them with wrong values though, thus beware.

Also, you can now rotate the cube using the left mouse button, clicking on an empty area and dragging the mouse. This will be useful to Mac users with only a single mouse button.

TabView 1.12

A new version of TabView is now available.

Apple RemoteSince every new Mac comes with a remote control nowadays, TabView can now exploit it. Your Apple Remote can be used to control the MIDI playback, so that you can jam along the tab you’re practicing on without having to sit within two inches from your keyboard and mouse. 🙂

This version also drops support for Mac OS 10.2: according to Apple’s official documentation, MIDI playback shouldn’t have worked on it too. Anyway, with Leopard coming out this year, it might be time to start phasing out legacy support to focus on new features. The previous version of TabView is still available, for those who don’t want to upgrade. The new minimum requirement is MacOS X 10.3.9 or later.

Wiz Solitaire (for Mac OS X) 1.24

Wiz Solitaire 1.24 is now available.

This release is focused on improving the undo function, based on users’ feedback:

  • A button for “Undo Move” is now available for inclusion in the toolbar.
  • The fix for undo in the previous version actually broke it when undoing the movement of stack of cards in other games. This version should handle undo correctly in all cases, hopefully.

TabView 1.11

A minor update of TabView has been released:

  • Code cleanup: removed the workaround for an OS X 10.4 bug which prevented to correctly export tabs to MIDI files on Intel machines. OS X 10.4.9 includes the official fix from Apple. If you are affected by the bug, please update your system.
  • Rhythm slash: guitar in markers have been added.

Wiz Solitaire (for Mac OS X) 1.23

Wiz Solitaire 1.23 is now available.

A couple of user suggestions were implemented, along with some fixes:

  • Changed the default background to use a gradient fill instead of being solid white, in order to be more comfortable to the eyes.
  • Cards can optionally cast a shadow (Mac OS X 10.3 or later required – shadows appearance may vary according to the hardware).
  • Added an image for empty cells.
  • Trefoil: sometimes a game would start without dealing all the aces. Fixed.
  • La Belle Lucie, Trefoil: fixed undo of merci moves.
